My birthday wish list...

Saturday, June 14, 2014

Hi all... My birthday is coming up in July and I decided to come up with my first online wish list ever.
But, NO, I absolutely don't expect from anyone to buy any of this for me, it's more of what I'd like to purchase myself this year. Well, the thing with me is I love spoiling myself. I'd like to think that I have been good this year as a student, worker, daughter or a lover; and I deserve a little reward ;p

1. Michael Kors bag and wallet
I always love a big tote to carry all my stuff. And I love this pink tote from Michael Kors.

2. Forever New Jacket
You can see me wearing this jacket here. I love how this jacket fits me.

I went to the store and tried them the other day, you can see the picture here
The thing with me is I love wearing heels, but I don't have the ability to walk on it for a long period of time. So I always prefer a shorter heels. And this Shubar heel is just perfect. So comfortable and its chunky heel is a plus!

4. Nice Thai Massage
Who doesn't like a massage anyway?

I've been reading lots of good review about this serum on MakeupAlley. But, My LORD!! This stuff is expensive. I am still contemplating whether I should purchase it this year or maybe later when I am rich.

I always love their classic necklace.

And that's about it! :p

How about you guys? what is your birthday wish list this year?

XOXO,
Jenniefer

One fine Friday

Friday, June 13, 2014

I woke up this morning feeling awesome! LOL
So, I decided to share with you my story.

I had a medical check up this morning for my visa purposes in the city.

It took me two hours to complete the whole process.

I also went shopping with my brother. He loves shopping with me because I can give him a good advice. I mean he is not very good at picking stuff for himself. In a simple form of saying, he has a bad taste in fashion and with my slight addiction of shopping, I am more than happy to be his personal shopper (for free!).
As for me, I didn't have a plan to go shopping today since I am so broke due to an excessive shopping that I've done lately. Check this out!

But Damn!! SALE everywhere. OMG seriously, how am I gonna resist them? T.T

This one is from Hype ($99). I really love it since the heels are not too high.

This jacket is from Forever New ($143). I love how it fits me nicely. It makes me look skinnier LOL. And that is always a plus!

And sigh :/ since I didn't have a good willpower, I ended up getting two items today. One baggy sweater from paper scissors as it was on sale and a flannel shirt ($39.90) from a new shop called UNIQLO. I love love the shirt, so comfy and I couldn't resist it. Here is the link http://www.uniqlo.com/au/store/women-flannel-check-long-sleeve-shirt-0794840001.html

I ended my day in the city with this curly fries ($3.90) from Hot Star. Nom Nom... I had it with ranch sauce, but I think it was too salty for my liking. I should get it plain next time.

In case you are wondering, Hot Star is a new take-away franchise from Taiwan. They sell all sorts of deep-fried food such as deep fried chicken breast, deep fried mushroom, deep fried sweet potato and so on. I haven't tried their famous chicken but from what I've heard, they are pretty good and comes in a decent size too.

The French House Review

Sunday, June 8, 2014

I visited this place few weeks ago with two of my friends. We got there around 1 pm and it was busy, packed with people.

This is the look from the outside.

Inside, you could see the menu board up on the wall. I gotta admit, they have beautiful interior design.
There were only 2 staff inside, both of them look busy and seem disinterested in serving us.

All day menu

I ordered scrambled eggs with goats curd, truffle oil and parmesan cheese on toast ($15) and vanilla tea.
Nothing special about the toast, and I wouldn't come back for it especially with its price tag.
I love the tea though, the vanilla is very subtle but still really nice.

The toast

Vanilla tea

My friends ordered smoked salmon croissant with poached eggs, sautéed spinach, avocado and hollandaise sauce ($18), a blueberry almondine ($6), a ricotta choc chip tartelette ($6) and a brioche custard.

Blueberry almondine and a salmon croissant

from the top: ricotta choc chip tartelette, blueberry almondine and brioche custard

I must say ricotta choc chip tartelette is my favourite of all three. The brioche is a bit hard.

I heard they have been getting heaps of good review about their coffee. Unfortunately, I can't really say much about their coffee because I don't drink coffee myself.

All in all I would give this place a 7/10.

How to make nutella hot chocolate

Sunday, June 1, 2014

Hi guys! I stumbled upon this picture on Instagram the other night.

Imagine a chilling evening, you're curling up on the couch, cuddling with your loved ones while catching up on your favourite TV soap; holding and sipping a cup of Nutella hot chocolate this winter. Isn't that picture perfect?

So, I decided to make this evil drink on the weekend.

And look what my boyfriend got me from the shop!!!

Haha just kidding.. But seriously though, I wouldn't say no to that.

Anyway, back to the topic. All you need to make this delicious drink is just Nutella and a milk! As simple as that.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 2 tablespoons of Nutella

Instructions
  1. Heat the milk in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Spoon in the Nutella, one tablespoon at a time.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture just begins to boil and the Nutella is fully disolved.
  4. As it cools, the Nutella taste will become more pronounced.
  5. You can serve this with marshmallow on top. I skipped this step as I personally not a big fan of marshmallow.

Please excuse my dirty stove

Stef can't wait for his Nutella hot chocolate ;p

Voilaaaa!

I tasted it and damn!! It was really good. The best hot chocolate I've ever had.

Nutella hot chocolate is as good as it sounds: rich, creamy chocolate taste with a hint of hazelnuts. It's also very easy to whip up.
