Brownie Recipe, no fail! :)

Growing up i always been very boyish. I didnt like wearing dress or skirt, i hated make up, and i barely cooked. My definition of cooking was the art of making instant noodle and thats about it!

So my family and friends were pleasantly surprised when all sudden i had this passion for baking and cooking.

I still remember the very first time i stepped into the kitchen to bake brownie. And let me tell you, I never cooked or baked prior to this, but found this recipe really easy to follow. There was no need to have fancy mixer. All i needed was just a big glass bowl, wire whisk and spatula or wooden spoon to mix the batter.

And guess what, my brownie turned out to be good. My housemates liked it and I couldnt be happier!

Ok, enough about me! Here is my no-fail brownie recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 150 grams dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp (15 grams) cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (200 grams) granulated white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup (95 grams) flour
  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Spray or butter a pan, and line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. It is optional if you use non-stick pan, but I would recommend you to still do it.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a large glass / stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water. Remove from the heat after it is melted.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder and sugar. Next, whisk in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Last, stir in the flour, and add a pinch of salt. No need to over mix it. A good rule of thumb is to stop mixing when no streaks of flour remain in your mixing bowl.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 mins. Check the brownie by inserting a toothpick in the centre, if it comes out clean it means it is ready.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

And here what my brownie looks like after 25 minutes.
